Another day sans show. We spend some time walking around Hull before catching the ferry to Rotterdam. While CW and Mai catch up on caffeine and email, I go with Dan and Adrienne to see The Deep, "the world's only submarium". It is very easy to be the "world's only" something when you make up a name for what you are, I suppose. We see a lot of interesting fish, highlights of which are a flounder, a cow fish, a lion fish, and a manta ray that keeps bouncing into the glass in an attempt to befriend us.

The ferry will travel overnight, and to occupy/distract passengers, there are several activities. There is a disco, a casino (where blackjack is called "pontoon"), several bars, and even some movie theaters. I spend several pounds playing Time Crisis II and Dance Dance Revolution in the video arcade, and later try to stay awake through "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." I should've known better, but it's a terrible film.

Later, we go down to witness the disco in all its glory. Do you ever get the feeling that you're in the middle of a Christopher Guest movie? If not, I highly recommend the disco on the Pride of Hull around midnight on a Sunday night. We all walk back to our cabin, singing the refrain from a song that none of us knows. It's in another language, but we've decided that one of the lines sounds like "People dancing/ Have a sucky day" followed by some techno yodeling action. Good times.

We all have mattresses tonight. Heaven.
