April 27, 2004 - Music Cafe - Columbia, MO

It seemed to take a long time to drive from Columbus to Columbia. Missouri is really green with lots of horses and billboards promoting God's 2004 campaign. We had enough time to check in to our motel, shower, and eat Taco Bell before heading to The Music Caf?? in downtown Columbia. Acoustic Ross opened the show. The Music Caf?? has a really cool soundboard that's up above the ground in a sort of suspended ark or boat kind of wooden thing. After the show we talked with Off By One and then I took Dan to the Emergency Room to get some antibiotic for his pink eye. Why does one of us have pink eye on each tour? The University of Missouri hospital was the nicest one I've ever been in, with helpful staff and the eye drops Dan needed were in a pouch on the wall labeled "Eye Meds." He didn't even have to go to a pharmacy. The Quality Inn, where we're staying, looks like it was once an outdoor place but they've enclosed the pool area into this huge atrium that has internet access.
