adrienne's tour diary for May 7, 2005
It was noon when I woke up, later than expected. We went to our fave, Laroash Kebabs, in Ealing and then loaded up the van. The spicy sauce is very good and I without mayo I feel strongly that the Laroash chicken kebab is the best. I hate mayo. The drive to Wales was beautiful but the nine dollar toll to cross a bridge was surprising. We were glad we weren't charged the larger vehicle rate, which ...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

London streets have proven very difficult for us to master. It's not the left-side driving or the roundabouts, but the fact that there is virtually no grid, and streets seem to change names on a whim. We finally found the club, but then got lost just trying to get to the back side of it, so lost that we ended up completely out of Islington and into the next borough, Hackney. Andy, one of the ...read the rest of this entry and more in chrisg's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for May 6, 2005
I woke up with a stuffed animal horse under my shoulders, a comfort against the hardwood floor. There was a young man in the doorway eating pasta, surprised to see us in the living room. He closed the door and we never saw him again. Gareth had to be at work by 9:30 so we got ready in a hurry so as not to delay him, but when we tried to get out the front door it was locked. There were a number of ...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

Oh man! Am I tired. Played last night in Bath, a beautiful town 2 hrs west of London. The city reminds me of France, I think because of the color of the buildings. They're all made of that yellow-brown stone that's all over Paris. It's a beautiful town. A bit touristy, but there's also a university here so there's a mix of people. Our show was at a place called Moles. It has a sign near ...read the rest of this entry and more in chrisg's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for May 5, 2005
We love the Waitrose car park here so much that we parked the van at 1:30 and then exited the car park and re-entered at 4. Spent the day walking between white stone buildings, experiencing a boring garden off the Circus, and eating at the Pig & Fiddle in the sun. We found Moles when we were walking around and drove our van there just after 6 for the sound check and some dinner. We walked around s...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for May 4, 2005
The alarm went off at 9 a.m. and Dan put the snooze on. Chris G was sleeping in the hallway space on the bed in front of the bathroom with the shower that we could not figure out how to turn on. Chris W, Dan & I slept in the triple room with the tiny TV, tea kettle, and 3 tea cups. After the show last night we stayed awake for a few hours telling jokes and drinking the rest of the canned beer, afte...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.

Went around Saxmundam this morning to pick up some supplies (masking tape to roll tshirts, an ever-useful Sharpie pen, and stamps). Caffeine, unfortunately, is in short supply. I now know why I didn't see a soul outside when we arrived yesterday ' there seem to be only 5 people in this town under 60! Very weird. We quickly leave before anyone starts chanting 'One of Us.' Our show tonight i...read the rest of this entry and more in chrisg's diary.

adrienne's tour diary for May 3, 2005
Dan set the alarm clock for 7 and when it went off it didn't seem that early. We had some tea and walked around Ealing, down Uxbridge Road and past the shops and the shoppers, the kids going by in little strollers covered with see-through plastic rainguards. At one point, outside a kebab shop, a van drove so closely to another van that it caught the parked van's door and bent it out backwards. Ther...read the rest of this entry and more in adrienne's diary.
